Behind the scenes of Girls Basketball in Scoil Bhríde.
Every Thursday we have basketball training with our coach Múinteoir Gillian. In training we usually start with stretches, drills and then matches.
Our first game this year was against Sallins, they were a very strong and physical team. We were winning in the first half but Sallins had a great comeback and unfortunately we lost our match.
Our second game was against Clane. All our training paid off and we won our first match of the season 21 points to 14. Our 3rd game was against Maynooth. We were on a winning streak. Everybody gave 100% and we won with a score line of 22-8.
We had reached the semi-final, where we would play 2 games against Kill. We played our best and left everything on the court but unfortunately we were defeated by Kill.
Basketball is a competitive game but we are thought to never give up and leave everything on the court. We have made great friendships and we all work as a team. We have had great laughs this season and look forward to supporting the boys in their final.
